Underlayment is installed over the existing substrate and then shingles are installed in layers fastened with nails.
There are multiple thickness and styles of shingles to choose from, all mainly composed of layers of asphalt, fiberglass
and finished off with colored granules for aesthetics and U.V. protection. There are many different colors, styles and
types of composition shingles. Depending on what the clients’ needs are, it is going to determine which shingle will
work best.

A base sheet is mechanically fastened to the roof sub straight, then ply sheets are installed (hot mopped between sheets), and your choice of either gravel or a granulated cap sheet is installed for a finished roof surface.

A 28# Fiberglass Base Sheet is mechanically fastened, then a smooth surface of app waterproof membrane is applied to this base sheet and then a second layer of granulated app modified roofing is installed, as per manufacturers specifications. 20 Year Manufacturer Warranty

PVC/ TPO Single Ply Membrane Roofing

A vapor barrier is installed if going over the existing roofing and proper underlayment need to be installed to get a class “A” fire rating. Then the single ply PVC membrane is either mechanically fastened with screws and plates or fully adhered. All lap seams are hot air welded together to create a monolithic watertight membrane. PVC and TPO membranes perform differently and depending on your roofing condition and use will depend on which one is recommended for your property.

Proper underlayment is installed to achieve a class “A” fire rating and metal roofing is installed with either Neoprene washer screws or concealed clips and screws to allow for expansion and contraction. We typically recommend metal that is composed of 24 gauge, Kynar coated with a Title 24 cool roof coating for energy efficiency, but we use all types of medium: copper, zinc, bare galvalume, bonderized, lead and galvanized to name a few all depending on what the clients’ needs are. Metal roofing profiles range from Corrugated, Standing Seam, exposed fastener panels and custom fabricated. Which one works for the client depends on pitch of roof, type of use and aesthetics.

Architectural Metals and Custom Fabrication

Custom fabricating metal for roofing, chimney top caps, site screens, bay windows, dormers, wall coping and flashing details from types of metal ranging from copper, galvanized, bonderized, zinc, galvalume, kynar coated, A606 Rusting Steel and many others.

The proper underlayment is installed over the existing roofing or roof substrate to achieve a class “A” fire rating and in some profiles a 2” x 2” grid is installed. Then the metal tiles are installed with 8 penny oxide nails or screws fastened to the 2” x 2” or decking. Tiles are composed of a galvalume substrate coated with an acrylic coating with embedded granules into the acrylic for color, traction and aesthetics with an incredible long life and color resilience.

All manufacturers specifications will be strictly adhered to, proper drip edges as necessary and installation of batten boards, wood nailers, flashings, trim and field tiles.

Slate Roof

A30# felt underlayment is installed over a wood sub straight then solid wood nailer boards are installed on all hip and ridges. Slate tiles are then installed according to strict manufactures specifications. Many styles and color variations are available. Installations may include the following.

• Random slate sizes
• Random color mixing

A 72# cap sheet is installed over roofing sub straight, then fire treated shakes with 30# shake felt between courses are installed.
