We would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU very much for choosing Modern Method Roofing & Construction for your roofing and construction needs. The following letter gives a brief description of some things you might expect while we are completing your work. If you should have any questions regarding the following, feel free to contact the office at the above number.

ROOF FINALS: As January 1, 2012 City and County building departments are requiring entrance to verify carbon-monoxide and smoke detectors are installed before signing of final inspections, Modern Method Roofing can offer a quote to install these for you if needed.

Trees and Branches: If you have low hanging branches over your roof, some trimming may be necessary. Our crews will cut back only these which limit their ability to do an efficient workman like job. In some cases, especially if the shape of the tree is important, you may prefer to have the tree trimmed before the job begins. Patio Furniture, Potted Plants, etc.: Please move these away from the area if possible to avoid damage.

Light Fixtures, Pictures, Mirrors, etc.: These could fall if not firmly attached to walls or ceilings. We suggest that you check to make sure that these are secure and or temporarily remove them if necessary.

Tear Off: When it is necessary to remove your existing roofing, some dust or debris may fall through the sheathing boards (plywood), in ares with open garages or ceilings where sheetrock does not exist, we suggest covering or removing items which requires protection. Covering with sheet or plastic may eliminate any problems that may occur.

Access: Your contract price was computed utilizing driveways, walkways and or side access yards for trucks and equipment while work is being performed. If this is not acceptable, please notify us immediately.

Electricity: We will need to have access to electricity to run power tools.

Sheetrock and Popping Nails: House that are constructed with roofing above the rafters and sheetrock below are impossible to walk on without some vibration. Sometimes a few nail heads will pop through the sheetrock, but we ask not to have responsibility in those rare occasions.

Solar Panels and Satellite Dishes: Arrangements to remove and re-install solar panels and or satellite dishes are the responsibility of the owners, unless otherwise stated in your contract.

Scheduling: Due to circumstances beyond our control, your start date may be delayed and or started earlier than expected, therefore your presence is not required when we start the job. We will notify you with a schedule date in advance. Scheduling may be affected by weather, prior jobs, material deliveries etc. We recommend that you do not take the day off of work or rearrange important appointments that may be costly to you.
